Refugee crises in Thailand
A little about why...
The refugee crisis in Thailand is largely driven by ongoing conflicts in Myanmar, particularly affecting ethnic minorities like the Karen and Rohingya. Since the military coup in Myanmar in February 2021, violence and human rights abuses have escalated, prompting thousands to flee into Thailand seeking safety. Many live in temporary shelters or makeshift camps with limited access to education, healthcare, and employment. In contrast, the situation in Myanmar remains dire, marked by widespread military repression, civil unrest, and humanitarian emergencies, leading to a continuous flow of refugees into neighboring countries as people seek asylum from persecution and violence.

Over the years, we've been fortunate to host hundreds of volunteers from around the globe, enriching our programs with diverse talents. Additionally, we've actively sponsored local performers from Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, and Burma, celebrating and uplifting their artistry while fostering cross-cultural connections that enhance our collective impact in the community
Impact
Each year, we deliver engaging shows and interactive workshops to thousands of children across the region, providing entertainment, education, and positive life experiences. Our programs aim to inspire creativity, promote teamwork, and foster important social values through arts, performances, and hands-on activities. By reaching such a large number of children annually, we make a meaningful impact on their development and well-being, helping to create joyful, memorable moments and empowering them with new skills and confidence.
Local volunteers
We actively fund and support Asian circus performers from Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, and Myanmar to join our projects, providing opportunities for them to showcase their talents, gain experience, and collaborate with international teams. This initiative helps promote regional circus arts, empower local artists, and foster cultural exchange, enriching our programs and creating a diverse, vibrant environment for both performers and the communities we serve.
